Campus → Industry

The opportunity is real. Readiness has to be real too.

C2I helps colleges see where students actually stand, then close the gaps through realistic work simulations, practitioner-led intervention and measurable reassessment.

Designed to complement existing placement preparation — not replace it. No placement guarantees. No one-size-fits-all training.

The real gap

College teaches. Placement teams prepare. Industry still tests something else.

A student can know Java, clear aptitude, finish certifications and still struggle when the task is unfamiliar, the data is messy, the code is someone else's, or AI gives a plausible but wrong answer.

C2I focuses on that translation layer: from knowledge to applied capability, from project completion to problem ownership, and from tool usage to judgement.

A different sequence

Don't train first. Diagnose first.

The same 40 hours for every student is convenient. It is not always efficient. C2I starts with signal, then targets intervention.

01 · Benchmark

DayOne Index

Practical readiness assessment across role-relevant technical and workplace dimensions.

02 · Segment

Find the actual gaps

Separate foundation gaps, interview gaps and real-world execution gaps instead of treating them alike.

03 · Apply

Work on reality

Debug, analyse, build, test, explain and use AI inside constrained industry-style scenarios.

04 · Reassess

Measure movement

Compare readiness before and after intervention at student and cohort level.

Why practical matters

HackerRank found that 78% of developers say assessments do not align with real-world tasks, while 96% believe problem-solving should matter more than memorisation.

That is not an argument to abandon fundamentals. It is an argument to test whether fundamentals survive contact with real work.

What "real-world" means

Not another tutorial project.

Real work often begins with something incomplete, ambiguous, inherited or broken. Our simulations are designed around that reality.

Engineering

Read unfamiliar code. Trace a defect. Fix an API. Work with Git. Add tests. Explain the trade-off.

Data & Analytics

Clean messy data. Write SQL. Find the business story. Build the right visual. Defend the recommendation.

AI-native work

Use AI to accelerate research, coding and analysis — then validate, challenge and improve its output.

Cloud & systems

Reason about deployment, reliability, cost and operational trade-offs instead of memorising service names.

AI changed the workflow

So readiness cannot mean “AI off” forever.

In HackerRank's 2025 global developer survey, 97% reported using at least one AI assistant and AI generated 29% of code on average.

C2I assesses both independent reasoning and AI-assisted execution. The goal is not prompt tricks. It is whether a student can use modern tools without outsourcing judgement.

For colleges

You may already have placement training. Good.

C2I is designed to complement what already works, then expose gaps conventional marks, certifications or generic training may not reveal.

A

Cohort visibility

See where readiness is strong, where it breaks and which interventions matter most.

B

Targeted intervention

Different students need different help. Segment by demonstrated need instead of attendance list.

C

Evidence of movement

Reassess after intervention so the outcome is more than satisfaction scores and certificates.

Common questions

Before we talk.

Is C2I another placement-training vendor?

That is not the intended model. The starting point is readiness benchmarking and evidence. Any intervention is designed around the gaps identified, and can complement existing placement vendors or internal training.

Are you promising jobs or placement percentages?

No. C2I does not make placement guarantees. Early pilots should measure readiness movement first; placement correlation can be evaluated over time as evidence accumulates.

Do students need prior project experience?

Not necessarily. The benchmark is calibrated to the cohort and role. For engineering tracks, foundational programming knowledge is expected; applied simulations can then identify where classroom knowledge does or does not transfer.

Can this work beyond software engineering?

Yes. The same diagnose → apply → reassess model can extend to data, analytics, cloud and other role families, with different rubrics and simulations.
